Visit of SuperMap Software CO., LTD

Representatives of SuperMap Software CO., LTD, the biggest GIS company in China in the area of Geonformatics and GIS visited Faculty of Technical Sciences in order to officialize the cooperation between these two institutions and signing the memorandum of understanding.

Goal of this cooperation is improvement and support of educational, inovational, research and developing activities within the field of Geoinformatics and GIS at the Faculty of Technical Sciences. This includes the support in the activities that reference to the programme “SuperMap for Education”. This programme includes availability of SuperMap products to the Laboratory of Geoinformatics at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in educational and research purposes, as well as the support in research, education, dissertation and Bachelor and Master thesis’ with the help of SuperMap products.

SuperMap Software CO., LTD, were represented by their general manager for Europe and Africa, Will ZHAO and Skye LEI, development manager. Dean of the Faculty, prof. PhD Rade Doroslovački, vice-dean for education and international cooperation associate professor PhD Darko Stefanović, head of the Geoinformatics Laboratory prof PhD Miro Govedarica, associate professor PhD Dubravka Sladić, assistant professor PhD Aleksandra Radulović and assistant professor PhD Dušan Jovanović were all present at the signing of the memorandum of understanding and this meeting.

Dean of the Faculty stated that this memorandum represents a significant step into intensive cooperation of Chinese and Serbian industry and hoping that this memorandum will allow better conditions to students of our Faculty in their education in the area of Geoifnormatics and GIS.
